Life Members

Life Membership is awareded to members of the Chargers who have made an especially significant contribution to the club across rugby and club life over and extended duration. It is the highest enduring honour bestowed by the club

Ailsa Ramsden - Awarded in 2016 for her outstanding support to the club, to Rugby Union in Victoria, and to the LGBTIQ community in Melbourne through her efforts in the battle against HIV and AIDS.

Neil Hay - Awarded in 2016 for his outstanding contribution to the club, and support for inclusion and diversity in Rugby Union.

Mitch Canning - Awarded in 2016 for his outstanding contribution to the club, and support for inclusion and diversity in Rugby Union.

Ben Lancken - Awarded in 2016 for his outstanding and continuous contribution to the Melbourne Chargers.

Ryan Naylor - Awarded in 2016 for his outstanding and continuous contribution to the club. Ryan played more than 200 games with the Melbourne Chargers before his retirement to rugby spectating in 2019.

Sam Minter - Awarded in 2017 for his outstanding and continuous contribution to the club.

Michael Smith - awarded life membership in 2021 for his longstanding and continuous contribution to the Melbourne Chargers as a player, captain and referee, and his services to the Australian and New Zealand Gay and Inclusive Rugby movemement.

Junior Faatoese - awarded in 2021 for his outstanding and continuous contribution to the club
