Chargers Moo-vie Night: Love Simon at Cinema Nova
About this event
You're coming on a cheeky Wednesday night moo-vie date, with Melbourne's gay and inclusive rugby union team, the Melbourne Chargers!
Love Simon is the queer film of the year, and has been touted as the first major-studio-backed romantic comedy with a gay teen protagonist.
Everyone deserves a great love story, but for 17-year-old Simon Spier, it's a little more complicated. He hasn't told his family or friends that he's gay, and he doesn't know the identity of the anonymous classmate that he's fallen for online. Resolving both issues proves hilarious, terrifying and life-changing.
This event is a fundraiser to help support the Melbourne Chargers' bid to retain their title as the world champions of gay rugby, the Bingham Cup, in Amsterdam in 2018.
Please meet in the cinema forecourt, near Brunetti's, from 6:00 PM. Our special screening will commence at about 6:30 PM.
